Insta-ista

In my humble opinion, Instagram is the best app ever made. Who else went into semi-panic mode when Facebook laid down the billion  to take it over? "DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING!!" I love capturing little moments of life, sharing them through my choice of filter, and seeing what my friends are up to as well. Social networking at its best! This week I finally tackled the beast that is my closet after being completely fed up with things falling on my face daily and having to leap over piles of shoes to get to the nearest available carpet space. I made a pile to give away at the thrift and a pile to sell. I took no prisoners.  Our living room is now completely occupied with LOADS of things to give away that I have been holding on to for no reason. I feel so refreshed and ready to replace the heaps of things I didn't quite like or that didn't quite fit with a few things I love, like these two pairs of shoes.  I can't wait to wear these babies around town (or around the living and bathroom while I get ready for bed- same diff!). 

Lazy Saturday

I scored this fringy pullover at Free People on Friday night for about 70% off. I was going to stow it away for fall but the chilly, rainy weather we woke up to Saturday morning provided me with the perfect excuse to wear it out before the temperatures rise ridiculously. Don't be fooled by the breakfast spread above, we got to Norm's at about 2PM with a major case of the hungs, hence the quick photos on the way inside. It still felt like breakfast to us so I ordered an omelet and had one too many bites of Jake's red velvet pancakes. SO lethal. I love these days. Now I'm off to be dramatic and mourn the approach of Monday!

How awesome are these pictures?? We had Smilebooth come to our reception and everyone had such a fun time with it! You might recognize Aubrey McCoy from the Bleubird blog in the third and fourth photos above.  Jake and I got to the reception early and I saw Aubrey sitting as the Smilebooth tech. I immediately recognized him, introduced myself and excitedly told him that we were Bleubird readers! We chatted for awhile about the blog and the wedding. He was the coolest guy, and as you can see he joined in on the fun before the reception got started. It's a seriously small world, people. Jake and I had a good laugh on our honeymoon looking through all the pictures that everyone took. We will cherish these forever!
